Bogotá is one of the first cities in South America that promotes bicycle use. Now it has 532 km (330 miles) of cycling paths. The city has beautiful green areas to enjoy. The biggest is Simon Bolívar Park, it is near downtown and has 113 hectares (279 acres). This is equivalent to 1076 Olympic pools. It is a very good plan to cycling inside the park and its surroundings.

Salt Cathedral

For a long time, the indigenous people obtained salt from Zipaquirá. This material allowed them to trade for gold, food, feathers, etc. This trade changed the world of the natives and gave them access to many riches, which attracted the first Spaniards to settle. With the arrival of the XIX century, it entered the method of extraction of salt with machines. Miners have always been very devoted, so they had a space to pray. Then this space expanded. In 1995 the underground cathedral reopened its doors with many more spaces, sculptures, and monumentality. Now it is recognized as the “first wonder of Colombia”. Learn about the Colombian culture, also of the native inhabitants and visit this monument that is one of the most important in the country. 

You will also have a delicious typical lunch.
